Mia Smit I wanted to really say that we were blown away by the Gugulethu Tenors and so was the Client. They really contributed to the Italian ambiance of a very successful evening and WOW what talent! They are a great group of guys and what struck us most that they are a very humble group of guys that are singing because they love it and because they all have a special talent. Our wish for them is that they go far and wide and enjoy success as they truly deserve! Nikki Wagner The guys were superb, they rocked the event to no end and our audience loved them. We wouldn't hesitate to involve them in our events again. The variety of music they offer catered for everyone right across the board!! Nola Matinise I was at the Worcester Forbidden Fruit Festival a few weeks ago.
It was the first time that I saw "The Gugulethu Tenors".
Actually I prefer Rock music and Salsa. I thought so before that Festival! Frauke Kleinwort Booking: 14 November, Forbidden Fruits Festival, Worcester The Gugs Tenors were amazing!!! The guests really enjoyed them, it was such an honour to have them! The Lord truly blessed them with a talent and still they remain so humble! Jorika Pienaar Thank you so much for suggesting the Tenors for the Keepers Banquet this year. They were perfect and delightful chaps and yes very well received. Plse could you kindly pass on our grateful thanks to the Tenors themselves. Karen Chaloner Just to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the Gugulethu Tenors in Greyton last weekend - they were fabulous and we would like to invite them again for the Greyton Winter Classical Music Festival in June 2010. Coenie Visser I just wanted to express my gratitude for your amazing performance at the Nederburg Festival this weekend. It made my day and I cant stop telling people about it. Please add me to your media list and let me know what you're getting up to so that I can one day write about you. You are all truly talented and a credit to our country.. The Tenors were absolutely FABULOUS!!!!! We had such great feedback from our media guests in regards to our choice in entertainment so many thanks for setting it all up, they really were super. Just a quick note to thank you for your efforts in making the arrangements for the Tenors at short notice. They were very good and I am sure will benefit from the exposure they received. We had only positive feedback concerning the Gugulethu Tenors. The ladies even has tears in their eyes!! We will definitely consider the gugulethu tenors for any future bookings. Eileen Walsh Platinum Africa As we were sitting there, we heard singing. Male voices and when we looked we saw 4 young men on a little podium. They were singing a Xhosa song that may have been a gospel number. We were still discussing how well they harmonised when the music changed and we heard the very familiar intro to O Solo Mio. Then they started to sing, each one doing a bit of a solo. I said to myself: Koeitjie, tel op jou kinnebak van die vloer af, dis brommertyd! For those who did not get that – I was gobsmacked. What lovely voices and well trained too. It turns out that they are the Gugulethu tenors and I am just very disappointed that they do not have any cd’s on the market yet. They will give the Bala brothers a run for their money. From live blog on blogspace.mweb.co.za I had not heard of the Gugulethu Tenors until I saw them performing at the open-air Willowbridge shopping mall today. Their style of music, much like that of Luciano Pavarotti or Placido Domingo, isn’t really my cup of tea, though I have to admit that these guys delivered a sterling performance. I think I must have had my head in the sand for the past few years, because it seems as though these township-born tenors have quite some reputation, and have even performed for the likes of Oprah Winfrey. The guys look very casual in this photo, but they look quite different when dressed up in their suits and ties - take a look at their website to see what I mean. Because of where I was when I shot this photo I was unable to get the fourth tenor in the photo - he was unfortunately right next to a huge pillar that was blocking my view.
